Why LDMA?

The LDMA was formed for the primary purpose of providing education to its members and bringing people together who share a common interest and need in the field of direct marketing. (Click here for more on the history of LDMA)

What is the LDMA?

The LDMA serves the whole direct marketing community and the broad range of needs and interests which all direct marketers share. It informs and serves the needs of large corporations, as well as small, entrepreneurial businesses, of consumer and business-to-business direct marketers. It is a membership of doers, thinkers, buyers, sellers, users, creators and suppliers of direct marketing. Click here for a list of the key people on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board.

Who should be a member of the LDMA?

If you need to know more about direct marketing-and need to be known to people in it- then you, too, belong in the LDMA. Whether you're involved with consumer of business markets in lead generation, store traffic, subscriptions, renewals, contributions, coupon redemption, catalog or mail order, your membership in the LDMA will increase your own personal success within it, as no other single investment can. Anyone who affects the success of your organization's direct marketing efforts will find a membership in the LDMA invaluable.

You can learn and grow with the LDMA.

Many local business and marketing professionals have teamed up with the LDMA to draw upon available resources and improve their use of direct marketing. One new idea can be worth thousands of dollars. Basic fundamentals sometimes are ignored, even by veterans. LDMA is a place where you can renew your knowledge and learn from the vast and varied experience of others, as they learn from you.

The overriding purpose of the LDMA has been, is, and will continue to be, to facilitate the exchange of information and the sharing of experience in order to educate in the field of direct marketing. We will strive to adapt to the rapid changes being experienced as the direct marketing discipline matures and the underlying technology becomes more sophisticated. In doing so, we will not lose sight of the importance of establishing and supporting the ethical standards of the industry and praising excellence when achieved. We look forward to the next decade of service, both the our members and to the community as we inform, enlighten and grow in an important and dynamic time for direct marketers.
